Once a peaceful fishing town in the northwest of the Istria region, Novigrad has become an irresistible tourist destination with picture-perfect historic architecture, preserved traditions and natural landscapes. This colourful Croatian town in the Adriatic lapped by the crystal-clear sea, has kept the intimate charm of a typical Mediterranean small town that can enchant all your senses.

A pleasant climate paired with superb food, wine and olive oil await you throughout the year, while welcoming hosts do their best to ensure you enjoy your stay. Novigrad is known for the most spectacular and romantic sunsets, offering a different palette of colours and evoking an array of feelings each evening.

Known as “Neapolis” from the Roman period, it has a long history and many historic buildings to be proud of. One of these are its town walls from the 13th century that surround the urban centre, thanks to which Novigrad became a member of the Walled Towns Friendship Circle (WTFC) Association. The unique Belvedere lodge from the medieval period and the old port of Mandrač are yet another two important witnesses of time.

The town centre boasts many parks, in addition to large green areas fringed with beaches just outside the centre, not to mention the fruitful vineyards and olive groves. An inspiring walk, recreational cycling or running are all great ways to relax in Novigrad, but also to see it from a different angle. In fact, everything is within reach in Novigrad, so you don’t need a car at all once you get here.
